The Tambellini Group CEO Honored With 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award

(November 16, 2016)  The Tambellini Group, the world’s leading independent research and analyst firm dedicated exclusively to higher education, today announced that company President and CEO, Vicki Tambellini, has received the 2016 MOKA Lifetime Achievement Award by members of MOKA, at this year’s regional conference for Ellucian higher education institutions in the states of Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas (MOKA).

Award winners must demonstrate that they have made a significant impact on the future of campus technology, stand out as leaders in their field, and are drivers of innovation in education technology. The MOKA Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes that leadership is not designated by title or role, but by action, inspiration, and service.

Vicki Tambellini is a respected industry analyst and thought leader on technology and management issues in higher education. Ms. Tambellini has more than 30 years of experience as a senior executive, including leadership positions for Oracle and PeopleSoft’s higher education units. She is a frequent speaker and author, and provides strategic advisory services throughout the higher education sector.

“Vicki is an inspiration in the field of Information Technology, stated Wendi Brasuell-Fisher, chair of the nominating committee, “Considering the immense challenges occurring in higher education today, the need for expert and unbiased technology insights has never been greater.  Vicki’s career in higher education has clearly been distinguished and exemplary in her commitment to technology on college campuses across the U.S. and abroad.”

Upon her selection, Ms. Tambellini said, “It is a true honor to be considered among this distinguished group of professionals and leaders in education technology. It is rewarding to be recognized for the work that I have committed my career to pursue.”

Ms. Tambellini was the opening keynote speaker at the MOKA 2016 Conference held at Oral Roberts University November 16-17, 2016. Her remarks focused on Women in Technology Leadership, with an analysis of industry trends and statistics, her own primary research on the low numbers of women in technology leadership roles within higher education, and concluded with her personal “Top Ten Lessons to Grow Your Career.”
