The Tambellini Group is proud to sponsor its sixth annual Technology Leadership Awards to celebrate and honor the remarkable achievement of higher education’s IT leaders and their teams.
Through these awards, current, future, and past CIOs are reminded of the difference one person’s leadership and commitment can make in advancing technology in higher education.
In a year defined by heroic efforts and rapid innovation on campuses across the country, these awards highlight the individuals and teams who stand out for their exceptional commitment and success in driving impactful technology initiatives in service of their institutional constituents.
Consistently effective leaders have a rare combination of skills: they strategically drive massive changes while going above and beyond to help and empower their colleagues. The CIO Award recognizes these leaders for their achievements in deploying modern technology across a wide array of areas including administrative systems, teaching and learning, security, data analytics, or systems architecture.
The strength of an effective team depends on tireless dedication and meaningful collaboration from numerous individuals across various functions. Our Innovative Technology Team Award honors an IT team that successfully led a transformative project focused on areas that served students, faculty, and administration in some of the most challenging environments, including remote learning and pedagogy, student success, AI/machine learning, or pandemic protocol.
The Tambellini Technology Leadership Awards are given in honor of Dr. Wayne Brown, as a tribute to his tremendous impact on CIOs in higher education. Dr. Brown is a longtime CIO in higher education and has devoted his professional and academic studies to CIO attributes and effectiveness in higher education.
