When Barnard College learned of its legacy payroll system’s retirement, it decided to capitalize on the transformation project ahead. On campus, the college knew their finance and human capital management (HCM) systems were aged, with manual and paper-based processes in place to accommodate the legacy system. In 2018, Barnard gained approval for a modernization project to include finance, HCM, and payroll systems. Barnard, ultimately selected Workday as it best met its functional requirements and had a consistent track record of implementations in higher education.
