Before deploying StarRez in 2013, Worcester Polytechnic’s processes for supporting student housing and related services were time-consuming for both staff and students. Residential Services staff spent considerable time manually entering student housing and meal selections into their existing system and generating billing charges from that system. Housing staff used three different systems to identify exceptions, which they then had to reconcile. The WPI Residential Services Office needed a central platform that could integrate the student data in each of these systems to eliminate redundant data entry and enable process efficiencies. They selected StarRez Student Housing.
