The 2025 Jenzabar Annual Meeting (JAM) was a vibrant celebration of progress, partnership, and purpose. With over 275 sessions, a packed JAM Hub, and a community of passionate educators and technologists, the event showcased Jenzabar’s renewed commitment to empowering institutions through innovation, transparency, and collaboration.
The opening keynote set a lively tone, with Bob Maginn and Sam Burgio channeling Elvis and Johnny Cash. While the first segment focused on AI-generated video boxes, a fun if unexpected, direction, the real highlight came later: a clear, heartfelt commitment to improving the Jenzabar product ecosystem and the client experience.
One of the most refreshing aspects of JAM 2025 was the honesty from the main stage. Jenzabar leaders openly acknowledged past challenges and laid out a roadmap for improvement. From enhancing SaaS performance and uptime to achieving PCI 4.0 compliance and pursuing SOC certifications, the company is clearly investing in the future.
Load testing has been significantly upgraded, with simulations using large datasets and a forthcoming webinar to demonstrate real-world improvements. This “show, don’t just tell” approach reflects a new level of accountability.
Artificial intelligence was the star of the show—and not just in theory. Jenzabar’s AI Assist is now embedded across the platform, enabling natural language queries in Analytics (NL2SQL), automating workflows, enhancing chatbot interactions, and streamlining communications.
The ability to generate SQL reports by simply asking a question in plain English is a game-changer for data democratization. It empowers users at all technical levels to access insights quickly and confidently.
Jenzabar’s transformation of its retention tools into a comprehensive Student Success platform is one of the most exciting developments. Now integrated into Jenzabar One, the platform offers case management, predictive analytics, and a student-facing portal—all designed to foster proactive, personalized support.
This evolution reflects a deep understanding of the challenges institutions face in supporting students holistically and efficiently.
Spark451’s Enrollytics tool stood out as a powerful addition to the Jenzabar ecosystem. By blending CRM and marketing data with enrollment outcomes, institutions can now better understand student behavior, calculate ROI, and optimize recruitment strategies.
Sessions on SaaS migration were candid and constructive. While some adjustments were needed, especially around SSIS packages and SQL Server Agent jobs, the overall message was reassuring: the transition is smoother than many feared, and support is strong. As with any SaaS modernization, power admins may lose some DB-level access, but the trade-offs are manageable and well-supported.
Whether you prefer the low-code simplicity of the Unity platform or the capabilities of the new Jenzabar One API, there’s a solution for every institution. The API, built on REST standards and secured via Google Cloud OAuth2, opens the door to advanced integrations and custom workflows.
JAM 2025 wasn’t just about technology; it was about people. The announcement of the Jenzabar Center for Leadership at Centenary University, led by a Harvard Business School chairman and Dale Caldwell, signals a bold investment in the future of higher education leadership. Miss America 2025 Abby Stockard’s keynote on empathy reminded us that innovation must always serve humanity.
With most of the new features slated for rollout in the next 6–9 months, Jenzabar is clearly accelerating its pace of innovation. From AI-powered analytics to student-centric success tools, the company is aligning its roadmap with the real-world needs of its clients.
JAM 2025 was more than a conference; it was a confident step forward. And if the energy, honesty, and vision on display are any indication, the futures of Jenzabar and the institutions it serves are brighter than ever.
