Annette “Nina” Gray is Associate Vice Provost for Research Planning and Analysis. Dr. Gray was trained as a neuroscientist, completing her undergraduate degree in Brain and Cognitive sciences at MIT, her PhD at Brown University in Neuroscience, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Brandeis University.
She has extensive experience in research and academic administration, with a strong emphasis on building interdisciplinary collaborations, first at The New York Academy of Sciences, then at NYU Langone’s Neuroscience Institute, where she served as the Institute’s Executive Director. She was the Associate Dean for the Sciences and Executive Director of the Advanced Science Research Center at the CUNY Graduate Center where she developed and implemented the Center’s strategic vision, including its interdisciplinary and collaborative research involving educational initiatives and programs. In her current role, she works closely with academic and administrative leaders across NYU’s 3 campuses and 18 schools to foster research and nurture a culture of knowledge creation, scholarship, innovation, integrity, collaboration, and inclusion.
