Tambellini’s 7th Annual Technology Leadership Awards Take Center Stage

After nearly two years of rapid change and challenges, technology leaders across the country have made remarkable strides to advance their institutional missions. As CIOs and IT leaders continue to become crucially instrumental to the overarching success of colleges and universities, Tambellini leads the way in partnering with institutions and bringing their technology initiatives forward.

The Tambellini Technology Leadership Awards remind IT leaders of the difference that one person’s leadership and commitment can make in advancing technology in higher education. Past awards winners have led technology projects focused on modernization, student success, operational improvements, and more. More specifically, the 2021 Award winners were recognized for:

• 2021 CIO Award winner Bill Britton of California Polytechnic State University: for his ability to accelerate ongoing implementations of cloud-based Learning Management Systems and ensuring Cal Poly could swiftly scale virtual learning and meet the needs of its faculty and 22,000 students.
• 2021 Innovative Team winner Alamo State Colleges: for bringing free and fast wifi to campus parking lots at each of Alamo College’s 13 sites, benefiting thousands of students weekly through a series of 10 targeted technology efforts for students and faculty.
